Day 1

Nairobi Welcome: Rest, Reset & Optional City Sights

Your guide greets you at JKIA and whisks you to your Nairobi hotel to shake off the flight. Depending on arrival and energy, opt for a gentle city spin—markets, landmarks, and local rhythm—or simply unwind. A full meal plan keeps you fueled while the team reviews tomorrow’s safari details so you sleep easy and excited for the journey ahead.

Day 2

Amboseli Arrival: Elephants Under the Snowcap

After breakfast, drive 4 hours by a pop-up roof 4×4 Land Cruiser to Amboseli across open plains and Maasai homesteads. Enjoy Kilimanjaro’s silhouette as you enter the park. After lunch and a short rest, head out on your first afternoon game drive—expect giant tuskers (Elephants), zebras, giraffe, buffalo, and prolific birdlife, all framed by Africa’s highest peak. Return to camp for dinner beneath a canopy of stars.

Day 3

Border Crossing: Amboseli ➜ Namanga ➜ Moshi

Savor a final Amboseli breakfast, then drive to the Namanga border. Complete immigration formalities and continue via Arusha to Moshi with a relaxed lunch en route. Check in at your hotel, meet the Kilimanjaro team, and sort gear for the Marangu trek. If time allows, take a short Moshi walk for last-minute items before a hearty dinner and early night.

Day 4

Marangu Gate (Mount Kilimanjaro)➜ Mandara Hut: Rainforest Rhythms

Transfer to Marangu Gate for registration, then begin a 4–5 hour hike through lush rainforest alive with birds and blue colobus monkeys. Gentle gradients and well-made trails ease you toward Mandara Hut, with solar lighting and flush latrines. Consider a twilight stroll to Maundi Crater for sweeping views toward Kenya before a warming dinner.

Mandara ➜ Horombo: Heathland Horizons

Horombo ➜ Kibo: Alpine Desert Approach

Summit Day: Kibo ➜ Uhuru Peak ➜ Horombo

Wake just after midnight for tea and a light bite, then ascend by headlamp to Gilman’s and Stella Point. Push the final ridge to Uhuru Peak (5,895 m) for a radiant sunrise over glaciers and, on clear days, the African plains below. Descend to Kibo for brunch, then continue to Horombo for a well-earned dinner and deep sleep—your longest, most rewarding day.

Horombo ➜ Marangu Gate ➜ JRO Drop-off
