Day 1
Journey Into the Arms of the Wild
Your journey begins with a morning flight from Wilson Airport in Nairobi, soaring north toward the dramatic landscapes of Samburu. As your plane descends over red earth and winding rivers, the wilderness welcomes you home. Upon arrival, your guide transfers you to Ashnil Samburu Camp, where a cool drink and warm smiles await.
After lunch, embark on your first game drive across the reserve’s rugged terrain. Watch for elephants gathering along the riverbanks and the rare reticulated giraffe gliding among the thorn trees. Return to camp for a candlelit dinner beneath a canopy of stars.

Samburu Secrets: Wildlife and Culture
Awaken to the sounds of the bush and set out for an early morning game drive while the light is golden and the predators are active. After lunch and a brief rest, your afternoon drive reveals new corners of the reserve—perhaps lions basking in the shade or elephants crossing the Ewaso Nyiro. As the sun dips low, toast the day with a sundowner before returning to camp for a fine dinner by lantern light.
