Nairobi National Park – Conservation – Karen Heritage Tour
Begin your Nairobi Wildlife, Conservation & Karen Experience with an early morning pick-up from your hotel in Nairobi. Travel by private vehicle to Nairobi National Park for a game drive across its open grasslands, acacia woodland, and riverine habitats. Look out for rhinos, lions, buffalo, giraffes, zebras, and other wildlife, with sightings depending on the day and season.
Continue to the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust for a conservation visit, subject to the required booking and the trust’s visiting schedule. Learn about the rescue and rehabilitation of orphaned elephants before proceeding to the Giraffe Centre to discover conservation efforts supporting endangered Rothschild’s giraffes. Later, visit Kazuri Beads to learn about handmade ceramic bead production and local craftsmanship, followed by the Karen Blixen Museum to explore the history of the author and her former home.
