Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
Pricing depends on the countries you visit, trip length, season, and comfort level. Budget safaris start around $250 per day per person. Midrange safaris, our most booked option, run $300 to $500 per day. Luxury safaris start near $700 per day. Packages range from a 4-day Kenya safari at $739 to a 14-day Kenya and Tanzania combination at $6,247. Every quote is confirmed in writing before you pay a deposit.
Kenya and Tanzania offer good wildlife viewing year-round, so the right season depends on your priorities. January to March brings dry weather, fewer crowds, and easier walking conditions for travelers who prefer a gentler pace. July to October covers the Great Migration river crossings in the Masai Mara and Serengeti. April, May, and November are quieter, with lower rates and excellent birdlife.
Yes. Every Benuki safari is private, with no fixed group departures and no shared vehicle schedules. Your itinerary moves at your pace, with rest days built in where needed. Benuki Safaris is a TRA-licensed and insured tour operator (License No. TRA7/31/C01/35836), and our guides hold years of experience leading senior and solo travelers specifically. Our team stays reachable around the clock while you travel.
Solo travel is one of our specialties, not an add-on. We design each solo itinerary around your interests and comfort level rather than fitting you into a group tour built for someone else. A single supplement may apply for solo accommodation, and we list this clearly in your quote before booking, with no hidden costs added later.
Standard inclusions cover accommodation, national park and conservancy fees, a private 4×4 safari vehicle, a professional driver guide, daily game drives, airport and ground transfers, and meals as listed in your itinerary. International flights, travel insurance, visa fees, gratuities, and personal expenses are not included.
Tell us about any mobility needs, medication schedules, or health conditions during planning, and we build your itinerary around them. This includes choosing lodges with easier access, limiting long drive days, and pacing game drives to allow rest. Private safaris give us the flexibility to adjust your day at any point during the trip.
Yes, and this is one of our most requested itineraries. Combining countries means coordinating border crossings, internal flights, permits, and timing between parks, which we handle in full. Popular combinations include the Masai Mara with the Serengeti for the Great Migration, or a Kenya safari paired with gorilla trekking in Rwanda or Uganda.
Book 6 to 12 months ahead for travel during peak season, July to October, when lodges in the Masai Mara and Serengeti fill up early. For quieter months, 2 to 4 months ahead generally works well. Gorilla trekking permits in Uganda and Rwanda sell out the furthest in advance, so plan for those first.
