Day 1
Nairobi – Chogoria Bandas (2,950m)
After pickup in Nairobi, drive to Chogoria town and proceed to the park gate for registration and briefing.
Continue through dense rainforest terrain as you ascend into the mountain ecosystem.
The drive offers a scenic introduction to Mount Kenya’s lower slopes.
You will be dropped off for a 5–10 km trek through the forest leading to Chogoria Bandas campsite, where you will settle in for dinner and overnight stay.

Transport: Nairobi → Chogoria Gate → Bandas (Approx. 5–6 hrs road transfer)

Day 2
Chogoria Bandas – Lake Ellis (3,455m)
After breakfast at 8:00 AM, begin your trek toward Lake Ellis.
The trail passes through bamboo forests and scenic alpine vegetation, including a stop near Nithi Falls.
The hike takes around 6–7 hours as you ascend gradually into the moorland zone.
Arrive at Lake Ellis campsite for dinner and overnight stay surrounded by stunning mountain scenery.

Day 3
Lake Ellis – Lake Michaelson (4,000m)
Breakfast is served at 7:00 AM before starting a challenging trek at 8:00 AM.
The route covers approximately 10 km with an elevation gain of around 650 meters, reaching up to 4,200m before descending into the Gorges Valley.
The trail leads to the beautiful Lake Michaelson campsite, one of the most scenic camps on Mount Kenya, where you will rest and recover for the next stage.

Day 4
Lake Michaelson – Simba Tarn (4,600m)
After breakfast at 8:00 AM, begin a shorter acclimatization hike toward Simba Tarn.
This day is designed for altitude adjustment and recovery before the summit attempt.
The 5 km trek takes approximately 4–5 hours.
Upon arrival, enjoy lunch and optional short walks or rest at camp in preparation for summit day.

Day 5
Summit Day – Point Lenana (4,985m) – Shipton’s Camp – Old Moses (3,300m)
Wake up at 3:30 AM for the summit attempt.
After a light snack, begin the climb at 4:30 AM through steep scree slopes toward Point Lenana, covering about 2.5 km in roughly 2.5 hours.
Reach the summit at sunrise before descending to Shipton’s Camp for breakfast and rest.
Continue further down to Old Moses Camp for overnight stay after a long but rewarding day.

Day 6
Old Moses – Sirimon Gate – Nairobi (2,650m)
After breakfast, descend for approximately 2 hours (about 9 km) to Sirimon Gate.
Celebrate the successful completion of your Mount Kenya trek with your guide team.
Transfer back to Nairobi in the afternoon, marking the end of your unforgettable mountain adventure.
