Day 1
Nairobi – Sirimon Gate (2,650m) – Judimere Campsite (3,300m)
After breakfast at 8:00 AM, depart Nairobi in a shared shuttle van heading toward Sirimon Gate on the northwestern side of Mount Kenya.
Upon arrival, complete park registration before beginning your trek through beautiful indigenous forest and bamboo vegetation.
The hike from Sirimon Gate to Judimere Campsite covers approximately 9 km and takes around 3–4 hours.
The gradual ascent allows comfortable acclimatization while enjoying scenic mountain landscapes before arriving at camp for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2
Judimere Campsite – Shipton’s Camp (4,200m)
Wake up at 6:00 AM and enjoy breakfast before departing camp at 7:00 AM with picnic lunch boxes.
The trail gradually ascends through moorland terrain, crossing valleys and alpine vegetation zones with spectacular mountain scenery along the route.
The 14 km trek takes approximately 6–7 hours before arriving at Shipton’s Camp, located beneath Mount Kenya’s highest peaks — Batian and Nelion.
The camp offers breathtaking views and serves as an important acclimatization stop before summit preparations.

Shipton’s Camp – Simba Tarn (4,612m)
After breakfast, leave Shipton’s Camp for a short but steep ascent toward Simba Tarn.
This acclimatization day helps prepare your body for the summit attempt while allowing time to rest and conserve energy.
Upon arrival at Simba Tarn, enjoy lunch and relax at camp surrounded by dramatic alpine scenery and stunning mountain views.
Early rest is recommended ahead of the summit climb.

Day 4
Simba Tarn – Point Lenana (4,985m) – Chogoria Gate Campsite (2,950m)
Wake up at approximately 3:30 AM and prepare for the summit attempt with a light pre-breakfast snack served at 4:00 AM.
Depart Simba Tarn at 4:30 AM and ascend toward Point Lenana, reaching the summit in about 1½ hours.
At sunrise, enjoy panoramic views across Mount Kenya, with possible views of Mount Kilimanjaro and the distant Indian Ocean on clear mornings.
After celebrating your achievement, descend back to Simba Tarn for breakfast before continuing further down the Chogoria Route to Chogoria Gate Campsite for lunch, dinner, and overnight stay.

Chogoria Gate – Chogoria Town – Nairobi
After an early breakfast, drive through the dense Chogoria rainforest descending toward Chogoria Town.
Along the way, enjoy scenic forest views and the rich biodiversity of Mount Kenya’s lower slopes.
Upon arrival in Chogoria Town, connect with a shared shuttle van for the return journey to Nairobi, marking the end of your Mount Kenya trekking adventure.
