Day 1
Nairobi – Old Moses Camp (3,300m)
Pick up from your hotel at 7:30 AM and depart Nairobi at 8:30 AM toward Sirimon Gate (2,660m).
Upon arrival, meet your guides and porters and begin your trek at around 10:00 AM.
The hike takes approximately 3 hours through forest and moorland terrain, with lunch en route.
Arrive at Old Moses Camp for dinner and overnight stay at the edge of the mountain forest.

Day 2
Old Moses Camp – Shipton’s Camp (4,200m)
After breakfast, depart at 8:30 AM and continue ascending through moorland filled with giant lobelias and senecios.
The trail offers stunning views as you move deeper into Mount Kenya’s alpine zone.
The 14 km hike takes about 6 hours with lunch en route.
Arrive at Shipton’s Camp in the afternoon, located beneath the dramatic peaks of Batian, Nelion, and Lenana.

Day 3
Shipton’s Camp – Point Lenana (4,985m) – Chogoria Roadhead Camp (3,300m)
Begin your summit attempt at 4:00 AM after an early breakfast.
Ascend steep scree slopes via Simba Col to reach Point Lenana in time for sunrise and spectacular panoramic views.
After summit photos, descend to Mintos area for lunch and continue along the ridge overlooking the Gorges Valley and Lake Michaelson.
By late afternoon, arrive at a fly camp at the roadhead area for overnight stay.

Day 4
Chogoria Descent – Nairobi
After breakfast, descend to Meru Mt. Kenya Bandas (3,000m) on a scenic 2-hour walk.
Along the way, you may encounter wildlife such as buffalo, zebra, klipspringer, and occasionally elephants.
At the bandas, 4×4 vehicles will be waiting to transfer you through the dense bamboo forest to Chogoria town.
Enjoy lunch before bidding farewell to your mountain crew and driving back to Nairobi for hotel drop-off.
